Croatia, east to the Adriatic Sea is known for its stunning coastline and Mediterranean weather. A country situated in south central Europe has recently been added to the list of EU Countries.

Croatia is a country for me which bridges the gap between central europe and the balkan region, though most croats take offense if being called balkans.

Croatia has an unusual shape (similar to a croissant) that is unlike any other country in the world, which is as a result of five centuries of expansion by the Ottoman (Turkish) empire towards Central Europe. (Having said this, the Turks never actually conquered Croatia).
